Our Team
Dr. Elbert Maurice Henderson has been in practice for over 30 years. He and his staff are dedicated to providing the highest level of delivering general dentistry care to patients.
Dr. Henderson received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree for the University of Detroit in 1974. In 1976, he opened his private practice in Southfield, MI. Born and raised in Detroit, He has committed his career to providing the best quality of care to the community of Metro Detroit. Dr. Henderson is happily married, enjoys spending time with his family and reading books.

Hi! I’m Jaclyn Nelams, RDH, BAS. I grew up in Detroit, MI, attended Wayne County Community College District, and completed my Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Siena Heights University. Over the past 30 years, I’ve trained at an array of dental offices in Metro Detroit gaining a wealth of dental expertise and knowledge.
I absolutely love teeth!! I’m passionate about cleaning them, making smiles with them, eating with them and especially educating you about them. My purpose in life is caring and protecting for every smile I encounter. I’m a hometown girl at heart, I reside in the Metro Detroit with my husband and four children. I enjoy traveling, serving the needs of our community, and shopping.
My true passion lies in helping others, especially children. I thoroughly enjoy learning the latest developments and technology in the dental field. Continuing Education is one of the most important ways to give our community the best care possible. Educating people on proper oral health, how oral health affects overall general health and making new partnerships is the heartbeat of Jolly Smiles Mobile Dental Services. As Oral Health Coordinator, I am so humbled to work alongside Dr. Henderson carry out the vision to serve our community. I am in great anticipation of making an indelible mark on oral health care in your life.

Mr. Jalil Smith was a brilliant young man. From the moment we met at the tender age of ten years old, he told me he wanted to be a dentist. He attended grade school with my granddaughter and would always tell me that he wanted to work in my office. His mother would bring him to the office and I begin to cultivate and grow his potential that was clearly evident.
The way Jalil connected with patients, communicated the patients, his attention to detail and the eye for making smiles better was unmatched. Jalil encouraged me, always came with fresh ideas and energy to perfect my practice.
